Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Django Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with senior developers and technical leads to build, maintain, and scale robust backend web applications.

This is an entry-level position perfect for a recent graduate or a self-taught programmer with solid foundational knowledge of Python and relational databases who is eager to grow into a seasoned full-stack or backend engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Development:Write clean, maintainable Python code to implement features and API endpoints using the Django framework.

Database Management: Assist in designing database schemas, writing migrations, and optimizing queries using the Django ORM.

Collaboration:Partner with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Testing & Debugging:Write unit tests using Django’s testing framework to ensure code quality and troubleshoot bugs in existing codebases.

Learning & Adaptation:Actively participate in code reviews, absorb feedback from senior team members, and stay up to date with backend development best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a closely related technical field.

Experience: 0 to 1 year of software development experience (internships, bootcamps, or personal/academic projects using Django are highly valued).

Python Basics: Strong foundational understanding of Python (data structures, object-oriented programming concepts).

Django Basics: Familiarity with Django’s core components (MTV architecture, routing, forms, and the Admin panel).

Databases: Basic understanding of relational databases (like PostgreSQL) and SQL concepts.

Version Control:Familiarity with Git and code hosting platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF) for building APIs.

Basic understanding of frontend technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Exposure to Docker or basic Linux/Ubuntu environment workflows.
